Profile
Born in Freiburg im Breisgau in 1971, Dr. Bastian Schmidt-Vollmer trained as a shipping agent before going on to study law at the University of Hamburg and the University of Southampton, UK. He obtained his Master of Maritime Law there in 1999 and went on to earn a doctorate in “Maritime Liens and Their Enforcement”.
In 2000, Dr. Schmidt-Vollmer and his partners founded a company in the field of business domain management. Since then, he has been active as a member of the supervisory board and an active shareholder in addition to his work as a lawyer.
Dr. Schmidt-Vollmer has worked in ZENK’s corporate law division since 2003. Dr. Bastian Schmidt-Vollmer advises companies and entrepreneurs on all issues of corporate and insolvency law. He assists clients in transactions, restructurings or the assertion of claims in the insolvency of contractual partners. He also advises on the launch of investment vehicles such as private placements, club deals, AIF special funds or bonds.
Dr. Schmidt-Vollmer is partner with ZENK.

Dr. Bastian Schmidt-Vollmer is a member of the board of the GROWTH DOCK. The GROWTH DOCK, a business builder for FMCG start ups, was founded by ZENK and Pahnke Open Kitchen.
The foundation was announced in an interview with the publishing house New Business (March 2020).
