Carolin J. Klüpfel, born in 1986 in Bamberg, is a lawyer, specialist lawyer for construction and architectural law, mediator for construction disputes, as well as a construction and real estate mediator. She studied law in Munich, Leuven (Belgium), and Göttingen. Study-related stays abroad took her, among other places, to Geneva, Brussels, Moscow, and Washington, D.C. She completed her legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal with placements in the EU Affairs Department, the Berlin Senate Chancellery, and at the Arbitration Board of the Legal Profession.
Since 2016, Carolin Klüpfel has been working as a lawyer in law firms specializing in construction and architectural law. Before joining ZENK, she was an equity partner at a renowned Hamburg law firm specializing in construction and energy law. She advises clients in private construction law, architectural law, and procurement law – with a particular focus on contract drafting in construction and architectural law as well as on project-preparatory and project-supportive consulting for developers, construction companies, and planning offices.
Her activities include, in particular, the drafting and review of construction and architect contracts, the design and support of procurement procedures, as well as representation in review proceedings. A special focus is on collaborative and forward-looking contract execution forms – such as integrated project alliances and multi-party contracts that follow the basic idea of construction as a cooperative endeavor. As a mediator and construction and real estate mediator, Carolin Klüpfel assists clients in the out-of-court resolution of construction disputes. Her mediative approach aims at efficient, interest-oriented, and sustainable solutions that secure business relationships and project success in the long term.
